The brief

Party games are usually short and chaotic. I wanted a whole night out as the level: one last call, a city that gets stranger as the hours pass, and a group that has to stick together.

The look

Two concept renders made in Blender to set the mood before anything is built in Unreal: a stylised low-poly city, warm streetlights against neon, and a countdown to sunrise.

Plan and progress

  • Full game design document and concept art.
  • Architecture: a C++ core with a Blueprint content layer, so systems are solid and content stays fast to make.
  • Stylised low-poly look with modular, customisable characters and proximity voice chat.
  • Goal: a playable vertical slice before Early Access.

Decisions and trade-offs

  • Switched from a Blueprint-first plan to a C++ core for online play and performance.
  • Vertical slice before Early Access: prove the fun in one district first.
  • Free tools only, with an AI texture and marketing pipeline on the side.
